DOX en Het Lab gaan het succesvolle dansduet Couple-like van Keren Levi & Ugo Dehaes hernemen met een nieuwe cast! Deze dansvoorstelling gaat spelen voor een jong publiek op festivals, in theaters en op scholen. Hiervoor zoekt DOX dansers, mimers en oudDOXers. Wij hopen dat dit iets voor jullie is!

 

Keren Levi reisde samen met Ugo de Haes de hele wereld over met het duet Couple-like. Ze stonden met deze dansvoorstelling in Rusland, Turkije, Roemenie, België, Duitsland, Noorwegen, Hongarije, Oostenrijk, Luxemburg en Italië. In 2007 werd Couple-like genomineerd voor de Nederlandse Dansdagen. In 2009 werd het stuk geselecteerd voor de Dansclick tournee in Nederland en genomineerd voor Aerowaves 2009, een Europees festival waar specialisten uit zo'n 30 landen worden bijeen gebracht om werk van opkomende jonge choreografen te bekijken.

 

Couple-like

Voor de creatie van Couple-like moesten de choreografen en dansers Keren Levi en Ugo Dehaes het ongemak overwinnen dat ontstond tijdens het werken aan een 'fysieke' voorstelling, terwijl ze elkaar op die manier niet kenden. Met als uitgangspunt het onderzoek naar verschillende soorten van fysiek samenzijn, die leidden tot 'koppel-lijke' situaties. Deze situaties worden nooit gespeeld, maar ontstaan door de ogen van de toeschouwer. Couple-like is een intiem en toegankelijk duet waarin de twee dansers het publiek meenemen in poëtische situaties, een wereld van vertrouwen, wrijvingen en harmonie.

Planning

- Werksessie op 6 februari (10-14 uur) en op 7 februari (11-16 uur) – n.a.v. deze sessie wordt een selectie gemaakt van dansers voor de daadwerkelijke voorstelling.

- Repetitieperiode: 23 augustus t/m 5 september en van 17 oktober t/m 30 oktober 2010.

- Speelperiode: 31 oktober t/m 6 november 2010 tijdens Het Lab a/d Werf en daarna tournee.

 

- Tweede auditieronde:  zaterdag 20 februari (11-18 uur)

 

Betaalde functie

Voor afgestudeerden geldt een vergoeding conform de CAO Theater. Studenten kunnen dit gebruiken als stageplek en ontvangen een stagevergoeding.

DOX and Het Lab retake the successful Couple-like dance duet by Keren Levi & Ugo Dehaes with a new cast! This dance performance will play for young audiences at festivals, in theaters and schools. For this we would like to invite dancers, mimeplayers and (old)DOXers. We hope that this is something for you!

Keren Levi traveled with Ugo de Haes the whole world with the Couple-like duet. They stood with this dance performance in Russia, Turkey, Romania, Belgium, Germany, Norway, Hungary, Austria, Luxembourg and Italy. In 2007 Couple-like was nominated for the Dutch Dance Days. In 2009 the piece was selected among other for the DansClick tour in the Netherlands and was also nominated for Aerowaves 2009, a European festival where experts from 30 countries gather to watch the work of young choreographers.

Couple-like
For the creation of Couple-like the choreographers and dancers Keren Levi and Ugo Dehaes were to overcome the discomfort that arose while working on a 'physical' representation, while they did not know each other that way. As a starting point the investigation into different types of physical togetherness, which led to "real-torque 'situations. These situations are never played, but created through the eyes of the beholder. Couple-like is an intimate and accessible duet where two dancers take the audience in poetic situations, a world of trust, harmony and frictions.

Planning
-  Work session on February 6 (10-14 hours) and on February 7 (11-16 hours) – After this session
a selection of dancers will be made for the actual piece.
-  Repetition period: August 23 to September 5 and October 17 to October 30, 2010.
-  Play: Period October 31 to November 6, 2010 at The Lab a/d Werf and then a tour.

-  Second audition: 20th of February (11-18 hours)

Paid job
For graduates is a fee according to the CAO Theater. Students can use this as an internship and receive remuneration.
